March 18, 2025 -- Santa Monica tourism officials are inviting LA County residents to stay in the beach city for a discounted rate during spring break.
Santa Monica Travel & Tourism's “Spring Staycation in Santa Monica” promotion offers "a springtime getaway" at one of nearly two dozen local hotels through April 17.
Hotel guests can sample the city's diverse culinary scene and take in its "thriving arts and culture landscape and iconic attractions," SMTT officials said.
“Now more than ever, supporting our favorite local businesses is an important way to give back to the communities we love," said Misti Kerns, PresidentCEO of Santa Monica Travel & Tourism.
Kerns invites guests "to enjoy Santa Monica’s laid-back luxury, relax at our stunning hotel properties and visit our neighborhood businesses this spring break.
“With Santa Monica’s blend of natural beauty and metropolitan excitement, our Los Angeles County neighbors will truly feel like they’re on vacation during a stay in our beach city,” she said.
The 19 participating hotels are offering discounts that range from 10 to 25 percent, while two hotels are offering nightly rates of $209 and $290.
To participate in the program, residents must show proof of Los Angeles County residency when they check-in.
Special booking instructions from each participating property can be found at santamonica.comspring-staycation.
