February 22, 2023 -- Visitors to the Promenade this spring can sample unique foods, sweat off the calories and dance like like no one is watching on select weekends this spring.

The three-event series sponsored by Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. (DTSM)kicks off with the 626 Night Market Mini Series on March 4 and runs through May 28.

The market series, which returns after a successful launch last year, brings "the iconic Southern California food festival to the city on a smaller scale" on select Saturdays and Sundays, Downtown officials said.

The markets take place from 1 to 10 p.m. at Lot 27, 452 Arizona Avenue, and "bring together some of the most unique eats Southern California has to offer, featuring approximately three dozen food, merch and craft vendors."

An alcohol garden is available for those 21 years and older, while the market is open to all ages and free with advanced ticket reservations, officials said.

The market series will be held on March 4 and 5, and 18 and 19; April 1 and 2, 15 and 16 and 29 and 30, and on May 13 and 14 and 27 and 28.

The programming continues with the Conscious Market on Saturdays, March 4, April 1 and May 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m when local fitness studios will offer free fitness classes at 1351 3rd Street Promenade

"Hosted in partnership with Fit Girl Club LA, the markets feature a collection of elevated brands and sustainable products from over 40 local businesses with a zero waste and self-care focus," organizers said.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, towel and water. Complimentary healthy drinks and snacks will be available for sampling.

On Fridays, March 10, April 14 and May 12 from 7 to 10 p.m., visitors can grab their dancing shoes and hit the pavement on the 1300 Block of the Promenade during free Silent Disco Fridays.

"Get your groove on to one of three live DJ sets with a personal light-up headset and unlimited dancing at this outdoor party," DTSM officials said. "No matter your age, all are invited to experience a fun evening dancing under the night sky."
