February 2, 2022 -- Two men were arraigned on Wednesday after Santa Monica detectives tracked them down -- one in court and the other in jail for unrelated cases.
The robbery charges stemmed from an armed robbery that took place on the 200 block of Broadway on September 25, said Lt. Rudy Flores, the Police Department spokesman.

The vitim told responding officers "that he was walking eastbound on the sidewalk when two males pointed handguns at him and robbed him of his Rolex watch," Flores said.
The suspects were last seen fleeing in an awaiting vehicle, according to police.
Detectives with SMPD’s Robbery Homicide Division followed up on evidence that led them to identify two subjects involved in the robbery.
Police arrested Leroy McCrary, 24 of Compton, on Tuesday while he was in couurt on an unrelared case, Flores said.
Donta Baker, 29, of Los Angeles, was already in custody at the Los Angeles County Jail on an attempt homicide incident that took place in Los Angeles.
McCary’s bail has been set at $1 million and Baker’s current bail is $2 million.
