April 2, 2013 -- The Red Cross will honor veterans and the cast of CBS' hit show NCIS Saturday at the organization's seventh annual Red Tie Affair event at Santa Monica's Fairmont Miramar hotel.

The event, which will be emceed by Christine Devine of Fox 11 News, will generate money for the organization and will “spotlight the relationship between the Red Cross and the men and women of the military and the sacrifices they and their families have made,” Red Cross officials said.

At the event, the cast of “NCIS” and Dr. Richard Corlin, of St. John’s Health Center will receive Crystal Cross awards.

The evening will also include a live and a silent auction, cocktails, gourmet dining chef Nick Stellino and “special entertainment,” officials said.

Saturday's event will be kicked-off by men and women from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces walking the Heroes Red Carpet in full dress uniform.

“NCIS” (Naval Criminal Investigative Service), a legal drama about cases involving Navy and Marine personnel, has been on the air since 2003. Officials did not say which cast members would be at the event.

In 2012, the Red Cross chose to honor Jamie Lee Curtis for her work helping the victims of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan.
