Thrift Store Reopens | ||
By Lookout Staff
March 30, 2010 --After a brief hiatus, St. Joseph Center’s Thrift Store is back in business at a new location in Santa Monica. The store features “gently used” high-end clothing, as well as children’s attire and T-shirts for $2. The store closed at its former location in November “The amount of support has been absolutely incredible, from contributors who donated so many high-quality items for us to sell, to the committee who made sure that we could open our doors with pride,” St. Joseph Center Executive Director Dr. Va Lecia Adams said. “We are so grateful that our retail initiative could re-launch in such a strong way.” |
Proceeds from sales go directly to the Center’s programs, which serve local low-income housed and homeless individuals and families. The Center serves more than 6,000 individuals annually through 10 integrated programs and the thrift store.
