Hit and Run Suspect Sought | ||
By Lookout Staff April 23, 2010 --The Santa Monica Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle involved in a felony hit-and-run traffic collision that occurred last month. According to the SMPD, a 53 year-old pedestrian was crossing Pico Boulevard at the 3200 block on March 30 at 4:15 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle. The victim received significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver left the scene in the vehicle, leaving the victim lying in the roadway. Witnesses say the suspect was last seen driving erratically and at high speed near the intersection of Cloverfield and Pico boulevards. |
The SMPD’s initial investigation revealed that the vehicle is described
as a late model black, two-door Mitsubishi Eclipse. The driver was described
