13-year-old Emily Shane was killed when a car hit her while she was walking along PCH to a friend’s house. After hitting Emily, the Mitsubishi Lancer being driven by 26-year-old
Sina Khankhanian of Winnetka struck a power pole and overturned. The suspect was detained at the scene and later booked at the Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station for murder. Emily was a popular person in Malibu. At least two memorial Facebook pages have been created for her. Mourners have posted numerous comments on the pages. They refer to Emily a “kind” and “fun” person. “Really good person, not one bad thing in her,” one poster wrote. |
