December 8 -- Police are looking for two suspects who
stole an ATM machine from a gas station mini mart Wednesday night
after dislodging it with a truck, police said.
The heist began when a women walked into the Exxon mini mart
at 1776 Cloverfield Boulevard at 10:40 p. m. after buying gas,
witnesses told police.
“After a few minutes, she walked out of the store and waved
to a male suspect who was driving a truck,” said Capt. Alex
Padilla, the Police Department spokesman. “The male suspect
then drove his truck into the Exxon mini mart building, dislodging
the ATM machine.”
The man took the ATM machine, which contained an unknown amount
of cash, and the two fled in the truck the woman had driven to
the site, police said.
The truck the man drove into the store was left at the scene,
police said. There were no reported injuries.
The female suspect is described as a white women n her mid 20s
wearing a gray sweater. The male suspect is described as a white
man in his 30s, standing 6’1 and weighing 160 pounds. He
was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
The truck used to flee the scene is described as possibly a green
2000 Chevrolet Silverado.
