Sunset Park Home Burglarized By Lookout Staff February 10 -- A burglar made off with some jewelry and coins from a Sunset Park home as the victim watched television Tuesday afternoon, police said. The suspect knocked on the door of the residence on the 1100 block of Pine Street shortly before noon and asked the victim a question, police said.. The victim closed the door, and seeing the suspect through her window walking eastbound on Pine, returned to her television, said Lt. Frank Fabrega, the police department spokesman. When she walked into her bedroom 30 minutes later, the victim found that she had been burglarized, Fabrega said. Police found that the suspect had cut the window screen and entered the residence. “Once the suspect was inside, he entered the bedroom and removed some jewelry and some coins,” Fabrega said. “The victim did not see anyone inside her residence during the incident.” The subject who knocked on the front door is described as a 35-year-old man, possibly Armenian, of medium weight, with a fair complexion, police said. He had dark brown hair, “spikey” on top, and cut short on the sides. He had several keys on a round clip on his right side and was wearing a dark T-shirt, police said.
