Blue Bus Drives Hunger Away

Dec. 11 -- The Big Blue Bus is rolling out its 7th annual food drive to benefit the Westside Food Bank, and there are several convenient food drop-off locations you can stop at across the city.

Your donation of dry or canned food will help one of the largest and most successful food collection drives reach thousands of people in the West LA area with much needed provisions.

This year you can find food drop off points at the following locations:

• Santa Monica City Hall
• The Big Blue Bus customer service lobby
• 3rd Street Promenade Police Substation
• The Ocean Park Branch Library
• Santa Monica Fire Stations
• Montana Open House (Dec 6th) at the Holiday Bus!
• Main Street Open House (Dec 7th) at the Holiday Bus!
• 3rd St Promenade/Santa Monica Place Open House (Dec. 8th) at the Holiday Bus!
• Santa Monica College Bookstore
• Santa Monica City Employees Federal Credit Union
• SM Convention & Visitors Bureau

The food drive supports the successful Westside Food Bank, which supplies food to more than 65 social service agencies throughout West LA, and now reaches more than 70,000 people each year, half of them children.

"At the Big Blue Bus we have values and behaviors that we strongly believe in," said Big Blue Bus Director Stephanie Negriff. "One of these is community service. Our annual food drive is just another way our Big Blue Bus community supports and contributes to the greater community we serve."
