Man Robbed at Gunpoint By Lookout Staff April 5 -- Police are searching for two men who robbed a Santa Monica man of his wallet at gunpoint Thursday morning. The 30-year-old man was walking to his vehicle on the 1300 block of 5th Street at about 11:25 a.m. when man grabbed him from behind and threw him to the ground. A second man pointed a handgun at the victim, while the first man demanded his wallet. The man turned over his wallet and the two suspects fled on foot; the victim lost sight of them. Both suspects are described as African American men between 30 to 35 years of age. The first suspect is described as 6 feet tall wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He had a full, short beard and muscular build. The second suspect was between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds and wearing a black jacket with white letters and black pants. He was clean-shaven and wearing dark sunglasses. Anyone with information about the incident should call the robbery/homicide unit at 458-8451. |
