Police Looking for Flasher

Santa Monica Police are asking for the public's help in finding a flasher, said police department spokesperson Lt. Gary Galinot.

On Friday, May 12 at 8:40 p.m. police responded to a call in the 1300 block of Michigan Avenue from a woman reporting a man exposing himself across the street from her apartment.

The 27-year-old victim called police after she saw the man drop his jeans and begin to masturbate, while facing her apartment, Galinot said. When she yelled out the window that she was calling the police, the man pulled up his jeans and ran off.

The woman told police that she had seen the man in the neighborhood before and thought that he may live nearby.

Galinot said the suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his thirties with dark hair, a dark complexion and a stocky build. The suspect was wearing a dark flannel shirt and jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Santa Monica Police at 458-8491.
