Apply for a Habitat for Humanity Home

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is now accepting applications in Santa Monica for home ownership. Plans for a five-unit town house complex on 19th Street near Pico are underway.

The criteria for selecting home-owners are based on three principles:

  • Families currently living in substandard conditions,
  • Ability to pay back a no-interest loan, and
  • Willingness to partner with the Habitat for Humanity affiliate and complete 500 hours of volunteer work.

The selection process is open, and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles invites families to attend one of the following orientations for more information on the homeownership process.

You do not need to sign up to attend. Feel free to invite your family and friends.

You must attend one of the following orientations to receive an application. Each orientation lasts approximately one and one-half hours. Anyone arriving over ten minutes late will not be admitted. Space is limited.

All applications require a $20 credit-check fee.
