Santa Monica Animal Shelter Offers Pet Deals for the Holidays

December 12, 2018 -- If you'd like to give that special someone a doggy in the window for Christmas, the Santa Monica Police Department has got a deal for you.

In time for the holidays, the Santa Monica Animal Shelter will host a pet adoption event on Saturday, December 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Santa Monica Police Department Holiday Substation, 1313 3rd Street Promenade.

The event offers a reduced adoption cost of $50 dollars on all dogs, cats, kittens and rabbits.

"The animal shelter currently has several adoptable pets who are hoping to find a forever home this holiday season," police said.

The public is encouraged to post photos with their newly adopted pets on social media using the hashtag #AdoptSantaMonica, #WeAreSantaMonica & #SantaMonicaAnimalShelter.

The shelter -- located at 1640 9th Street -- updates its list of adoptable animals daily.
