Sept. 11 -- Police caught a burglar in the act in a North of Montana home early Wednesday morning after a canine sniffed out the suspect hiding in the residence.

Antonio M. Martinez, a 25-year-old Hispanic resident of Los Angeles, was nabbed after police responded at 4:15 a.m. to a burglary in progress at the 300 block of 9th Street.

Several items of jewelry were recovered at the time of the arrest.

Martinez was arrested and booked at the Santa Monica Jail. His bail has been set at $50,000.
