Pick Poundstone for Fundraiser

Dear Editor,

I applaud the School District's decision to pull the plug on using a racist comic. ("School District Pulls Plug on Latino Comedian," January 12, 2009)

In the days when my child went to McKinley Elementary School, we used to have Paula Poundstone at our very successful fundraiser.  Paula is a Santa Monica based comedian with clean, very funny and thought provoking routines. 

She has had children in our school district for many years.  Have they thought about her in his place?  Just a thought I would share...
